World Heart Beat studios were buzzing from 8.00am as the producer, sound engineer and pro-tools operator were setting up the mics for two days of recording sessions. By 10.00am, the studio was full of singers, eager to record the Gregorian Motets. Conductor Harry Bradford paid particular attention to the detail in the contrapuntal writing, where plainchant inspired lines weave in and out of the texture. In the control room, producer David Jones was getting a rich sound from the array of mics.
