Off to Bethnall Green with poet collaborator Euan Tait to hear a concert by composer friends. Birdcries I had heard before, in its original version for six sopranos. This performance was rescored for two sopranos and it brought a fresh clarity to the piece.

The concert ended with a beautiful new work by Kerry Andrews, making the most of the amazing space at St Matthew's Church and some incredible sounds from the organ, supplied by Jonathan Ticher.

Programme of works by Janet Oates, Kerry Andrews, Derek Foster and Deborah Edwards
