Memorial Concert For 25th Anniversary Of 9/11

Tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of 9/11. I am singing in what appears to be the only memorial concert for 9/11 in the UK.
It features the powerful John Adams On The Transmigration Of Souls.
The piece takes words from the missing persons' board at Ground Zero and turns them into the most impassion expression of grief and plea for peace. It is scored for large orchestra, choir and children's choir. The innocence of the children's voices, singing "Windows on the world" against a backdrop of pain and destruction is particularly poignant. The orchestra includes an unusual array of ultra low instruments – two tubas, contrabassoon and contra bass clarinet, as well as the double basses. Their deep rumblings are very chilling.
It is so inspiring performing John Adams.
