The new way is Crowdfunder! #HelpGetThisRecorded
And we are already a third of the way towards funding my debut albums. So, thank you!
Crowdfunder is the new way to finance recordings because streaming doesn’t work if you’re making a professional classical recording.
One million streams generates around £5,000. That's nowhere near enough to record an album. And one million is an unrealistic audience for a debut album.
Years ago, a few thousand people buying CDs could make a recording possible. Today, those same people stream the music instead. And every time you stream music, the artists and composer get about half a cent, between them!
So if we want new music to exist, we have to fund it differently. And big thanks to all supporters who have stepped up to this new model. This is about bringing my debut albums of orchestral and choral music into the world—with you becoming part of the journey from day one.
After my last première, one of the violinists said to me: "I want to hear this on Classic FM." Well... that's the dream. And together, we can make it happen.
If you've already donated—thank you. You've brought us this far. If you haven't, now is the perfect time to become part of it. Every donation gets us one step closer to
#HelpGetThisRecorded and there are some wonderful rewards—including the opportunity to have a piece dedicated to you or someone you love.
This isn't just MY debut recording. It's YOUR recording. Please join us, donate to the Crowdfunder today, and help bring this music to life.
