A Day For Composers At The Ivors Academy AGM

Composers and songwriters rarely meet so it was great to see so many at the Ivors Academy AGM. We don’t talk about composing, but we have an unspoken shared experience. So, when we are talking about AI, we have a shared passionate anger and frustration at the wholesale theft of our music and our personas. The AI companies have taken our music without asking and without any payment. What’s worse is that they have also taken our personas and they are putting our AI music, using our names to promote it.
This subject is close to my heart because of my work with IMARA, driving the global campaign for artists.
